These courses are designed to give you the freedom to carve in your own time and dip in and out the video lessons when you need to whilst also offering you the chance to have review sessions with Hape. Questions and advice is on hand once a week to help you get past those tricky bits
This course takes the student through the process of carving a handheld disk Möbius form and provides some great ways to understand how a Möbius works and how the form may be extended in many numerous ways, including the extension from symmetrical to asymmetrical. I have developed a very useful series of techniques for ‘seeing’ how the form works, allowing the student to understand the form more easily.
Chasing The Line is the introduction carving class and looks to develop a strong understanding of basic carving techniques, sharpening, and tool geometry. All whilst exploring leaf forms, twists, bowls, and curves.
This is an ongoing Netsuke class for those interested in the practice of Netsuke carving.
